Ocean Explorers Summer Camp


Ocean Explorers Summer Camp makes waves with a week-long program that will focus on ocean sports and weekly marine education topics that directly correlate to our local marine environment.

Youth will interact and play in the ocean each week to learn about ocean conservancy, marine wildlife, ocean safety, water quality, marine debris, sustainable farming, marine ecology and mostly, have FUN! There will be one weekly field trip specific to our week topic that will be located in the harbor. For instance, the Maritime Museum, Sea Center, local sustainable fishing boat, water quality lab, and etc. This camp shows how beautiful the vast blue and green world is and helps youth understand how ocean topics are interconnected with each of their actions. The ocean plays an integral role in sustaining all life on Earth. Protecting, nurturing, understanding, playing, and creating in this resource is vital for all age groups.

Daily Activities Include: Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Surfing, Snorkeling in kelp-beds, Bodysurfing, Beach Clean-ups, Beach Play, Ocean Education, Field Trips, Labs

All instructors have Ocean Risk Management, Wilderness First Responder and First Aid/CPR certifications.  Ocean Explorers Summer Camp Mondays - Friday 9:00am-1:00pm.  This program is for children ages 7-14 who can complete 50M swim test.
